Below is summary of dividends I received in August 2017. This summary includes a consolidation all accounts: brokerage accounts, 401K, and IRAs.
August dividends amounted to $245.55, an increase or more than twelve fold, or 1112.0%. This is largely attributed to an increase in the number of shares purchased during the past year - better referred to as a favorable volume increase (whether a new positions or an increase in an existing position). As noted above, there was a net 6% YoY rate increase resulting from dividend increases from the two companies I held during this same time last year: ABT and AXP. I consider this a decent rate increase.
